Meet Christie
I believe every home should tell a story—one that feels both timeless and true to the people who live there. For me, design has always been about more than just style; it’s about creating spaces that feel rooted, welcoming, and enduring. My journey here has been anything but ordinary. In 2003, along with our business partner, my husband and I founded IOC Construction, building a legacy of craftsmanship and trust that still stands strong today. After years of being immersed in that world, I felt called to create in a different way—to shape not just the structure of a home, but the soul of it. That calling led me back to school, where I graduated from the New York School of Interior Design. Now, through Modern Homestead Design, I bring together decades of experience in construction with a designer’s eye and a deep appreciation for both heritage and modern living. This next chapter is about more than reinvention—it’s about weaving together my passions for family, faith, craftsmanship, and creativity. I design homes that honor tradition while embracing modern elegance—spaces where life unfolds beautifully, every day.
